Dr. Giriraj T Kulkarni, Professor and Principal

A recipient of the ‘Sri Chandrashekhara Swamy Gold Medal’ from Gulbarga University and ‘36th IPC Cash Award’ from Indian Pharmaceutical Congress for securing First Rank in B Pharm., Dr. Giriraj T Kulkarni completed both his B.Pharm. in 1992, and M.Pharm. in 1994 from Gulbarga University, Karnataka. He went on to obtain his Ph.D. in 2006 from Dr. MGR Medical University, Tamil Nadu and in 2019, received the APJ Abdul Kalam Research Thinker Award from Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh. He is also a recipient of Prof BM Mithal Memorial Award for Best Paper in pharmaceutical education.

His achievements include the publishing of 146 papers and the presentation of 78 papers in various national and international conferences. Apart from authoring 12 books and several book chapters, he has also filed 16 patents and is a Life Member of several professional affiliations such as APTI, IPA, IPGA and SPER. Dr. Giriraj has 27 years of teaching and research experience and has supervised 63 M Pharm and B Pharm projects and 10 PhD projects under JNTU, Hyderabad, Karpagam University, Coimbatore, Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. He teaches courses on topics such as Advanced Biopharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Advanced Product Development and is skilled in Pharmaceutics, Bioinformatics, Lecturing, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Molecular Biology.
