INDUSTRY INSTITUTE PARTNERSHIP CELL  

  1. To arrange industrial training and projects for students.
  2. To interact with R&D Organizations for conducting joint research work.
  3. Faculty exchanges between professionals from industry academia.
  4. Curriculum development- associating experts from industry. 
  5. Personality development workshop for students relating with soft skills.
  6. Guest lectures by eminent personalities, academics, leading industrialists to update the students knowledge.
  7. To arrange technical festivals/open houses/student design competitions.
  8. Continuing education programmes.
  9. To update the knowledge base (qualification) in the different emerging sectors.
  10. To arrange short-term programmes (5 to 7 days).
  11.  In house training programme at the request of industries.
  12. Promotion of Income Generating activities.

The objective of the IIP Cell is to reduce the gap between industry expectations (practice) and academic offerings (theory).

Industrial Training - III Year B. Pharmacy (Under Osmania University)

Every candidate shall be required to work for at least 150 hours spread over four weeks in a Pharmaceutical Industry/Hospital.  It includes production unit, quality control department, quality assurance department, analytical laboratory, chemical manufacturing unit, pharmaceutical R& D, hospital (Clinical Pharmacy), clinical research organization, community pharmacy, etc.  After the Semester – VI and before the commencement of semester –VII , and shall submit satisfactory report  of such work and certificate duly signed by the authority of training organization to the head of the institute.

B. Pharmacy Seminar Project (Under Osmania University)

The purpose of seminar is to develop self-confidence and communication skills among student so as to enable to achieve the following objectives.

  1. To encourage self- study by direct study of source material.
  2. To development critical analysis through proper reasoning.
  3. To train the students in oral presentation of technical reports.
  4. To promote co-operation and team-spirit by intimate interaction between student and student and between student and faculty member.

The following suggestions may be adopted foe successful implementation of seminar in accomplishing the said objectives.

A committee of the faculty may assess the student performance at the seminar.

M. Pharmacy Research Projects (Under Osmania University)

All the students shall undertake a project under the supervision of a teacher in Semester III to IV and submit a report. 4 copies of the project report shall be submitted (typed and bound copy not less than 75 pages). The internal and external examiner appointed by the University shall evaluate the project at the time of the practical examination of the semester (s). The project shall be evaluated as per the criteria of OU.
